How I teach

I have a deep understanding of the various issues students face in their studies from my experience and reading on secondary education, psychology and cognitive science. Every student is different so the teaching methods will vary. However, I always follow these three principles in my teaching:

Safety

A safe environment is the foundation to any education. I always create a safe and open environment so my students can freely voice out their concerns and come up with new ideas.

Respect

I work closely with all my students and I always acknowledge their opinions and feelings. I also expect my students to take up responsibilities and put in the work themselves.

Awareness

I emphasise the importance of self-assessment and self-improvement to all my students and this will help them develop a growth mindset. We will start with awareness.
