Why I teach

I teach because I want to:

• Show my students how mathematics and sciences describe our complicated world
• Help them develop positive attitudes towards studying and knowledge more generally

How I teach

I follow three principles in my teaching:

Safety
I always create a safe and open environment so my students can build up their confidence.

Respect
I always acknowledge my students’ opinions and feelings first before I give specific instructions.

Awareness
Self-assessment and self-improvement are only possible if the student has a clear understanding of their own abilities and the expectations.

Our lessons will be conducted using Zoom and interactive whiteboards. I will also provide on-going support outside of our lessons. Read more here.
